Joy Language Services is offering Phases 1 thru 4 Bangla and Hindi classes at our Kolkata office and online (via Zoom). We currently have open slots for the winter, spring, and summer of 2024. Bangla & Hindi Phase 1
In-Person and Online

The Here-and-Now Phase
In this course, students will spend approximately 100 hours with a nurturer (a native language speaker) as they begin to discover the new world around them. The course features a silent period where the student listens and responds nonverbally before beginning to talk. Contact us today to learn more and find out when our next Phase 1 begins.

The Story-Building Phase
As one of our most popular offerings, we recommend signing up for this course as early as possible as it tends to fill up quickly. This course features approximately 130 hours (6 weeks) of time with a nurturer, interacting mostly over simple picture stories. If you’re unsure about your level, want to know the next start date, or have any other questions, simply reach out and we will be happy to help you.
Bangla & Hindi Phase 3
In-Person and Online
Starting at 300 INR/hr
The Shared Story Phase
Featuring a further 250 hours with a nurturer, this course brings students to the level of interacting over stories they and the nurturer both know without the aid of any physical props or picture books. By the end of this phase, students should be able to freely converse about a wide variety of topics with native speakers. Get in touch with questions or to learn more.
About Joy Language Services
Started over a decade ago, we offer a variety of services for those learning a new language as they enter a new host culture. We use the Growing Participator Approach, as it allows learners to grow into a languaculture in a playful and interactive environment with a native speaker rather than memorizing grammar rules or vocabulary lists. Through this process, the learner will establish a knowledge of language that is closer to host-like than a conventional learning method. Currently, all of our classes are offered online and at our Kolkata office.
